Souq Waqif is one of the most distinctively cultural attractions to explore in Qatar and a perfect encapsulation of local culture. The local Qatari guide will take guests to some of the hidden gems of Souq Waqif including the Spice & Gold Souq, Falcon and Carpet markets. Guests will discover the ancient coffee traditions of Qatar and experience true Arabian hospitality. Arabic coffee (pronounced “gahwa” in the Arabic dialect) [7] has been a central part of Arab culture for centuries and its preparation and serving is marked by elaborate traditions and rituals. Tour guide will escort the guests to the Cultural House located at the beach side Souq Waqif Al Wakra, where guests will experience one of Qatar's oldest traditions. The guide will explain the history and significance of Arabic coffee and the elaborate etiquette for the server, the guest and the host. By the end of the tour guests will have achieved an intimate knowledge of the history of coffee in the region and a deeper understanding of the ceremony's link to the heritage of Qatar's hospitality and etiquette.

Guests are taken to the skies in a hot air balloon and can enjoy panoramic views over the city or desert and experience Qatar from the air. [9] Guests will have an opportunity to take in the magnificent desert landscape, visit the towering Sheraton Dune and marvel at the azure waters of the Arabian Sea before they depart for a brief comfort stop at desert camp on the way back to Doha.

Guests will discover the hidden gems of the Souq Waqif through a unique cultural experience and local food journey. Taste their way through the back alleys of Souq Waqif and learn more about regional traditions while experiencing true Arabian hospitality. Guests will visit different parts of the souq where a range of items such as perfumes, fabric and even falcons are traded. The Discover Qatar expedition cruise is a new product introduced in April 2021 that gives the opportunity to travelers to access the Al Shaheen restricted marine zone and witness the Whale Shark gathering along with coastal exploration adventure. Between the summer months of April and September, during their annual migration to the region, Whale Sharks are found feeding in groups of hundreds in the Al Shaheen marine zone within the Arabian Gulf.
